LIGHTHOUSE LAUNCHES BFI SHORTS 2012 SCHEME

Lighthouse is thrilled to be working with the BFI, the UK’s lead body for film, which has responsibility for championing emerging and world-class filmmakers. We are the managing company for the BFI Film Fund’s new one-year short film production scheme, which will support up to twenty outstanding new shorts made by some of the UK’s most promising filmmakers.

Lighthouse is thrilled to be working with the BFI, the UK’s lead body for film, to manage BFI Shorts 2012, the BFI Film Fund’s new one-year short film production scheme.The scheme will support up to twenty short films at budgets ranging from £25,000 to £50,000 per film.

BFI Shorts 2012 forms part of the BFI’s committment to supporting emerging filmmaking talent and providing opportunities for filmmakers to demonstrate their potential to create feature films.

The scheme underscores Lighthouse’s commitment to supporting new work by artists and filmmakers, and will sit alongside our existing programmes of digital art, film and moving image.
