Sponsor Testimonials: Baxter & Bailey
“We loved the spirit of trying to level the playing field and promote acknowledging and nurturing talent where previously it had not been seen, acknowledged, nurtured.”
Baxter & Bailey joined as a Lighthouse Young Creatives sponsor in 2019. Strategic Director, Dom Bailey, explains: “We were particularly interested in the work Lighthouse was doing with young people on inclusivity and diversity. It was seeking to provide better access to aspiring young people looking to build a career in the creative industries.”
Baxter & Bailey supported the initiative financially and through communications via their agency networks, as well as giving feedback and support to the cohort of young creatives on their projects and work.
Dom continues: “Being involved connected us more closely to the challenges and issues around inclusivity and diversity in the creative industries. We followed the progress of a few of the young creatives from radio dj’s to promoters and graphic designers to filmmakers. Knowing you had a small part to play feels good.
“I would recommend Lighthouse Young Creatives to businesses which value creativity and the contribution it makes to society: social, cultural and commercial. Many people on the programme for a range of social or personal circumstances might not necessarily have followed conventional educational pathways into creative disciplines and jobs.
“We loved the spirit of trying to level the playing field and promote acknowledging and nurturing talent where previously it had not been seen, acknowledged, nurtured.”
We’d like to thank Baxter & Bailey for their continued support of Lighthouse Young Creatives and for sponsoring the upcoming third round of the scheme.
